After being introduced to Patricia through her writings/articles in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, our ladies’ bible study was sold on using her book “Twelve Inches” as our next bible study.  We were blessed tremendously as she is clearly a woman of God.  Her teaching is engaging and down to earth.  We were most excited to have Patricia as our guest speaker at our highly successful Women’s Retreat last year, entitled “Abundant Life.”

Vernita Herod, Bridge to Grace Covenant Church – Chairwoman of the Women’s Retreat

“I have been blessed as a student in Patricia’s classes at the Atlanta Christian Writers Conference. As a teacher/speaker, Patricia’s passion for wanting God’s best in our lives radiates through the classroom and is contagious to all that hear her.”

Michael L. Anderson, Co-Founder, Christian Authors Guild, Inc.

She is her elegant inspiration! Patricia has a very engaging and relatable way of imparting Biblical principle both in writing and in her speaking. She is a blessing to the women of FBA and she will inspire the women of your church as well. She has a passion to share God’s truth and power to transform lives.”

Speaking Topics

Below are some of the Messages that Patricia offers for congregations and events. She is often adding new messages to her portfolio. Please contact us for more information and more topics.

The Enemy Comes to Steal, Kill and Destroy” – Based Part I of “Twelve Inches”.

Every Christian knows and quotes Christ’s promise in John 10:10. “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” However, Jesus started this verse with a warning to the Church: “The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy.”
In this powerful message, Patricia talks about how the enemy acts in our lives to keep us from receiving the abundant life Christ died to give us.

From the people we surround ourselves with to the issues in our past that keep us bound by unforgiveness and regret, Patricia challenges the audience to look within and release their bondages, scars, and strongholds at the foot of the cross.

“The Abundant Life” – Based on Part II of “Twelve Inches.”

The anatomical distance between one’s brain and one’s heart is 12 inches. Not a long gap by any means. But unfortunately, many Christians do not know how to bridge that gap when trials or great blessings fall upon their lives. They allow their emotions, past hurts and traumas, and even great blessings to overwhelm their thinking and end up living a mediocre, if not defeated, life. In this message, Patricia talks about the strength of the faith of the first-century church and what set them apart to do mighty and miraculous feats for God. She then challenges the audience with practical steps on how to “bridge the gap” between their emotions and what they KNOW about our God.

Powerful, insightful, and life-changing. The principles behind bridging the 12-Inch gap can be the difference between victory and defeat, an exciting or apathetic Christian life.

The Big White Wall ~ Based on Psalm 42

Is it hard for you to keep unwavering faith and joy when troubles come your way? Does your heart sing for joy regardless of how hard life’s circumstances can be? Or do you find yourself focusing on your problems, other than on the vastness of God’s power and awesome faithfulness to His children?

In this dynamic presentation, Patricia will challenge you to focus on God’s greatness and His unwavering love towards His children and give you practical steps to help you teach your heart and mind to sing for Joy regardless of your circumstances.

“He LED Me into the Wilderness” ~ Based on Luke 4:1-13

Have you found yourself wondering why you go through some of the trials you face? Could it be that God led you to the valley so that you may know Him in a deeper way? In this presentation, Patricia challenges her audience to realize that God often allows us to go through the desert in order to mold us, strengthen our testimony and display His glory through us.

“Fashion Covered Event” (Teenager Girls event) ~ Based on 1 Peter 2:9

On this special Women’s event, often tailored for teenagers, Soaring with Him partners with churches in order to put together a fashion show. The purpose of the fashion show is to show women how they can dress fashionably and yet, modestly.

The event ends with Patricia teaching about a woman’s identity in Christ. We are royalty and should behave as such! It is a fun, dynamic evening of practical guidance, information and encouragement. This event has been presented for teenage girls and adult women alike. Patricia changes the presentation depending on the age range of her audience.

“Soaring Above Your Circumstances” – Two part event (approximately 40 minutes each)

This is a two-part event (usually presented at conferences or retreats).

In the first part, Patricia talks about the lessons in the valleys of brokenness – through financial crisis, death of a loved one, illness and loneliness.

Based on her own experience, Patricia shows the lessons God has taught her through each trial she’s gone through, from cancer to the tragic death of a loved one, encouraging the audience that God is “working all things together for His children’s good and His glory”(Romans 8:28).

The second part is based on John 15, where Jesus teaches the secrets to abide in Him and therefore obtain victory over any circumstances in life. Patricia presents 5 practical steps and many scriptures with the purpose of helping believers to remain faithful and strong through life’s storms.

“The Perils of Perfectionism” – Based on Philippians 1:6.

In this presentation, Patricia addresses a very common issue plaguing women nowadays: Perfectionism. We live in an age where we are bombarded with commercialized images of perfection. From skin care commercials to reality TV shows, many of us feel compelled to keep up with an unrealistic image of how we should look like, act like and feel like. Patricia’s goal is to remind us that we are uniquely made and that God loves us in spite of our imperfections. Moreover, she compels her audience to realize that our perfection is only completed in Christ.

“The Gift” – Based on names of God.

This unique Christmas message takes the audience on a journey from the manger to the cross, remind that the baby on the manger brought to earth the unlimited power of God for all who believe. Patricia uses eight Hebrew Names of God to encourage her audience to tap into God’s unlimited source of power and receive encouragement this Christmas: EL SHADDAY – God Almighty; El ROI – The God Who Sees Me; El OLAM -The Everlasting God; YAWEH YIREH -The Lord Will Provide; YAWEH ROPHE – The Lord Who Heals; QEDOSH YISRAEL – The Holy One of Israel and YAHWEH –SHALOM The Lord is Peace. The presentation culminates on the Name above all Names: JESUS!

Other messages are available.
