A Podcast episode with Michele Rickett

As we celebrate women’s incredible accomplishments and contributions worldwide in honor of International Women’s Month this March, it’s essential to recognize and support organizations actively working to empower and protect women and girls.

In the latest episode of “God-sized Stories with Patricia Holbrook,” my friend Michele Rickett, Founder and CEO of She Is Safe, shared remarkable insights into the organization’s efforts to end human trafficking and uplift women and girls in vulnerable communities.

She Is Safe has been instrumental in reducing human trafficking by as much as 85% in some of the communities it serves, primarily due to the dedication of local women who are deeply ingrained in the fabric of their respective communities. Michele highlighted the pivotal role of these women, who, through their work, have sparked a transformation in certain culture’s social acceptance of selling girls. The organization’s focus on empowering indigenous missionaries and local people has not only been instrumental in reducing trafficking, but has also led to uplifting stories of women evolving from illiteracy and poverty to becoming successful entrepreneurs.

In the spirit of International Women’s Month, it’s crucial to recognize She Is Safe’s impact, reaching over 70,000 women and girls annually.

Pain turned into Purpose

Michele Rickett speaks from a place she knows too well. She herself was rescued from sexual exploitation at a young age and introduced to the love of Christ. Her experience only fueled the flame and resilience in her commitment to free women and girls in Jesus’ Name. It’s a Romans 8:28 story you don’t want to miss.

On this special month, let’s come together to support organizations like She Is Safe, raise awareness, and advocate for the rights and safety of women and girls worldwide. Together, we can make a difference and continue to empower and protect women as we celebrate their immeasurable impact on our world.
